Reasoning about Uncertainty (MIT Press, 2003). Halpern considers formal ways of representing and reasoning about uncertainty. He considers topics such independence, expectation, and belief revision. While the material is mathematical, the book seriously examines the underlying philosophical issues and the subtleties involved in dealing with uncertainty.
